Little Learner Play Schools

  We're so glad you want to learn more about our program! Founded by Lauren Daniel, a children's yoga instructor and former parenting educator, Little Learners Play School is a life readiness program for children ages 12 months -5 years old. Lauren’s career as a parenting educator has given her valuable insight on how to best support children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional development. Through this foundation of knowledge and experience, this program envelops the skills and experiences we know all children would benefit from as they prepare for a lifelong journey of growth, learning, and global community.  

 There is no specific age when a child is ready to be away from their parents for an extended period of time.  We do our best to comfort, entertain, and engage your child. Because the connection between parent and child is unparalleled, we may not be able to fill your loving shoes! In these instances, we ask that if a child is unsettled by 9:15 you are available to pick them up or join them in class until they are ready to be away from you. Why do we have this policy? In order to best implement the purpose of our program our teachers need to be available for all students after snack when we engage in curriculum and learning activities. We strictly implement this policy and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.  

 We believe there isn't just one approach to learning, that's why we have a hybrid model. We incorporate the Reggio Emilia approach alongside an engaging curriculum curriculums that focus on school readiness skills.  Using a co-led approach, we use our unique expertise in motor, sensory, cognitive and linguistic development to help children lay the foundational skills needed for the road ahead.  Program activities are designed to promote development of motor planning and coordination, balance, support of the visual systems, social skills, emotional intelligence, musical exploration, life and school readiness skills, and more!  

James Island hours: Monday-Friday 8:30-12:00 

Johns Island hours: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30-12:30

2 days per week / $110

3 days per week / $135

4 days per week / $160

5 days per week / $175

$100 registration fee is due at time of enrollment.

 You will receive a confirmation email once we complete your little learner's enrollment. 

  Little Learner Plays is proud to employ only the most qualified and dedicated staff. We believe parents are the experts on their children, that's why we encourage active co participation of families. Building strong relationships between staff, parents, and children is imperative to deliver the best experience possible for your little learner! We invite you and your family in for a tour to learn more about our program. 

8:30 - Arrival and exploration play / gross motor play in fitness studio

9:00 - Clean up and snack (provided by Lightweights Little Learners)

9:30 - Enrichment activity

10:00 - Outdoor play

11:00 - Lunch (provided by parents)

11:30- Gross motor play in our fitness studio

12:00 - Departure
